Princeton Valley Golf Club is a privately held,
publicly accessible premiere golf course in the Chippewa
Valley. While being one of eight courses in the immediate
Eau Claire area, it is close to the top in rounds per year -
and with good reason.
The course is fairly easy to walk in that it is
relatively flat with minor undulations. It is nestled among
trees on nearly 90% of its perimeter which makes the views
pleasant - sort of like taking a walk in the country. Green
to tee box distances are accurate and in view. For those
wishing to ride, carts are available
Because of the location of tee markers, the course
can play long or short depending on the players ability. It
gives you a choice from moderately easy to a somewhat
challenging to test your golf game.
Princeton Valley is exceptionally well manicured.
The staff allocates many hours per day to be certain the
golfing public has a satisfying golfing experience. Much
work is directed to the greens which can be seen in their
peerless condition. Princeton is one of the few courses in
the area utilizing the syringe method of aeration which
results in less down time and remarkable putting surfaces.
Wide fairways are very well defined with roughs and
trees. One can surmise the grounds crew takes great pleasure
in positioning new tree plantings in such a manner that
should one inadvertently find his ball in the rough, a
straight shot to the green is not normally a possibility.
Chipping out and taking your bogey is prudent.
